ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Web-Development, Branding, Marketing,  Business Services, Accounting, Food Safety, & Sales Training

We do initial testing (pH and water activity), nutritional panels, shelf life studies, batch size increase, formulation assistance, advise on permits, labels, stores, distributors etc. We charge $100.00/hour consulting fees. Tenant can work with our food scientists to make their products shelf stable, increase batch sizes. We also offer safety training workshops, marketing, pricing. 

Acadiana Incubator Kitchen becomes the platform to grow your home and cottage industry products and brands to a growing market desiring local foods.

Application


Application


The Acadiana Incubator Kitchen is currently accepting applications to our incubator program. Applications for membership are reviewed on a rolling basis with offers extended to “good fit” food startups as long as space is available. If you are interested in becoming a member of either kitchen, please register with the Food Corridor . Once you are registered, you will be contacted by us with instructions on how to submit your application. Please see the requirements below.  Once you have been verified through the Food Corridor and have completed the Acadiana Food Hub Intake Application, Staff will contact you to schedule an interview.  You will also be directed to an online orientation prior completing your membership.  If you have questions about the Acadiana Food Hub Business Incubator Program, please reach out at zack@mcmathfoodgroups.com.

Requirements:

The Food Corridor matches Commercial Kitchens who want to post their kitchen space with Food Businesses looking for a cooking place. The platform includes tools like scheduling / booking, payment processing, and communication to support the ongoing relationship.

The Acadiana Incubator Kitchen requires three items to get started with our application process:

  1.  Set Up Your Business- You Must be set up as a recognized business entity with the State of Louisiana. Articles of Incorporation will need to be provided.  
  2. ServeSafe Food Manager Certification - You must be currently certified with ServeSafe or applicable food safety training program. 
  3. Liability Insurance on Your Business - You must carry a liability insurance policy on your food business. You will be required to add Acadiana incubator kitchen to your policy as an additional insured.
